All Aboard Wiltshire's Flexible Bus Services

PEOPLE are being invited to discover how the flexible bus services in Wiltshire can benefit them at a series of roadshows around the county. Connect2Wiltshire, the new name for all Wiltshire County Council's bookable public transport services, incorporates the Wigglybus, RUH Hopper and Boomerang.

Connect2Wiltshire plans to use the experience the county council has gained whilst operating these and build on it for the future.

Tim Reynolds, Wiltshire County Council's Connect2Wiltshire manager, said: "One reason we are holding roadshows is to allow the public to see that the Wigglybuses have not disappeared, but have simply been replaced by Connect2Wiltshire.

"We also want to demonstrate why we believe the revamp gives rural people a better service, offers better links to meet up with other buses and will help people travel further."

The newly painted buses will be on show for a closer look at the roadshows and people will be able to discover how accessible they are, with low floor vehicles fitted, wheelchair lifts and ramps.

County council staff will be available at each roadshow to answer any questions, explain how the service works and give out travel information.

The roadshows run from 10am to 4pm at the following locations:

Mere on Monday, October 22
Pewsey on Tuesday, October 23
Marlborough on Wednesday, October 31
Devizes on Thursday, November 1
Calne on Friday, November 2
